Jimmie Raye hailed from Niagara Falls, NY and he created Niagara Records, a one-record label for his second release in 1963.  By 1964 he was recording for Tuff Records at Broadway Studios in New York City, which hosted some of the heaviest R&B hitters in the fledgling field of Soul.  Jimmie's next recordings at Broadway Studio were issued on labels out of Buffalo.  2 on KKC, including the classic "Philly dog around the world" and another on JRE (Jimmie Raye Enterprises).

The legendary Bernard Purdie drummed, Ashford & Simpson sang back up vocals and Sticks Evan did the arranging.  It's even reported that Barry White actually oversaw the 1967 session.

The release of "You Must Be Losing Your Mind / For The Sake Of Love" on JRE Records in 1967 came out with the deceptive label address of Buffalo NY, detailing the same street and number identified as 'Williamsville' and attributed to Century Records releases.

Following its 1967 JRE release "You Must Be Losing Your Mind / For The Sake Of Love" was picked up by national label Garrison Records, a part of Scepter / Wand Records.  Who would have thought that the same artist that brought us the triumphant "Philly dog around the world" would indulge in a slick beat ballad and a sublime mid-tempo dancer. 

This 45 is in great shape, both labels are clean and the styrene on the top side M-, whereas the "sake of love" side has a light scuff that does not affect play, so visual Ex, but again plays M-
