Tai-pan Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Must be getting really old!! Anyone put the disc to these lyrics. "this time you're gonna take the count of ten" "love is gonna step right up, and do you in" Seem to think its a slowish female crossover track on a yellow label? Maybe? Cheers, Andy
Bjorn Nilsson Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 (edited) The Autographs - Love's Gonna Do You In. On a yellow Joker label. Edited April 23, 2017 by Bjorn Nilsson 1
Robbk Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 A Hal Davis/Chester & Gary Pipkin written, L.A. Jobete Music office generated song. We've never located a tape or record of any signed Motown artist recording it. I hope one turns up some day. I'd like to have heard The Velvelettes, Oma Heard, Brenda Holloway or Patrice Holloway doing it with Funk Brothers backing.
