Backed up with an equally amazing sweet ballad. Visual grade: M- €400 Stevadors – Southside / Misty – Savannah International 1102 Insanely rare and insanely good Georgia stepper with a crisp open break right at the start and far out synths in the background throughout. First time I’ve ever seen a clean copy of this. Visual grade: M- €300 Eddie Lang – Souling / The sad one – Seven B 7014 DJ Copy Damn rare Nola dancer on the legendary Eddie Bo label. Visual grade: VG+ €220 The Singing Stars – Wait on Jesus / I want to go home with Jesus – Ebony 15072 Late 70s South Carolina gospel stepper. A real beauty and the cleanest copy you’ll ever see. Visual grade: M- €200 The Interpretations – Here I am in Georgia / Instrumental – Flaming Arrow 56 Argubly the best release on this legendary Detroit label. Beautifully arranged tune with insane harmonies and crisp drums. If you sleep on this you might regret it. Visual grade: M- €150 The In-Men Ltd. – Take a look at my baby / The one who really cares – Pyramid 6-7200 Northern dancer that sounds like four figures but still amazingly has stayed underplayed all these years. Couldn’t recommend this enough. Visual grade: VG €150 Dave and The Triumphs – Soul-shout / For your precious love – Boswick 2092 Rare as hens teeth mid-sixties floorfilling jiver. Visual grade: M-, slt warp NAP €150 The Chevies and Premiers – Go get ‘em / I’ve got you – Intern 1102 DJ Copy Very rare scorching proto-funk. Surfae has some superficial marks but plays excellent. Visual grade: Strong VG €150 The Vonettes – Touch my heart / You don’t know me – Cobblestone 703 In demand driving sixties northern and an early Van McCoy production. Some slight scuffing NAP Visual grade: VG to VG+ €120 Rick McClellan – Frozen sunshine / I think it’s gonna rain today – Ranwood 849 Rare psych mod 45 in pristine condition, comes in original company sleeve. Visual grade: M- €120 Junior Wells – Stomach ache / Shake it baby! – Vanguard 35049 DJ Copy Cool new breed R&B dancer. Rare demo copy in super clean condition. Visual grade: €120 Ricky Gee – Tropical girl / Have you got a girl – Mar-Jan 301 Obscure Chicago popcorn 45 that still sits firmly under the radar. Visual grade: EX €120 The 4th Generation – Take my love / Walking on a cloud – DeBrossard 71-5-20 Funky edged Ohio soul obscurity. Visual grade: EX €120 Danny Moore – Somebody new / Here comes summer – Allrite 625 Certified original copy of this northern classic. Beautiful copy. Visual grade: EX €100 Doug Jensen – Get out of my life girl / Love flies – Sorrell 7275-300 Widely unknown blue eyed soul from Seattle. Beautiul copy. Visual grade: M- €100 Mike McDonald – God knows / If you won’t, I will – RCA 0405 DJ Copy Big Wigan casino anthem. Plays perfect. Visual grade: VG+ €100 Sweet P – Unchain my heart / Instrumental – Option 7736 Pretty surprising electro hip hop version of the Joe Cocker hit. High oddball factor but I can see this working on the dance floor though. Visual grade: VG €80 Sinner Strong – Don’t knock it / Nobody but me – Serock 2003 Cali R&B rocker by Joyce Harris. Some surface marks but plays very well. Visual grade: VG €70 Narchee Flanagan – When her love comes down / I’m in love again – Vena 101 Funky edged Texas soul. Very rare first local label. Visual grade: VG+ to EX €60 Blondell Breed and The Imports – When I see my baby / Baby, no love – Acta 818 Excellent copy of this blue-eyed dance floor filler. Visual grade: EX €60 Chris Towns Unit – Turn to me / You don’t know what you’re getting – Port 45-3021 Sixties northern dancer. Some superficial surface marks but plays very well. Visual grade: VG, slt warp NAP €60 Mel Jackson – Move it over baby / She took the whole shebang – Josie 815 Rare rockin’ R&B doublesider. Minor surfac marks but plays very well. Visual grade: VG to VG+ €60 The African Souls – Hallelouia (twist) / Masekini – Out There 004 Infectious exotic dancer. First press from 2011 with the branded sleeve and numbered label. Visual grade: M- €50 Skip jackson & The Natural Experience – Micro wave boogie Pt I/II – Catamount 736 Insane boogie track. This version is slightly different from the 12” but I’ve always been a sucker for the spaced out vibes on this. Visual grade: M- €50 The Pacers – Steer stomper / Short squashed Texan – Razorback 122 Instrumental mover from Sonny Burgess’s baking band. Excellent copy. Visual grade: EX €40 Exquisites – Stick out your foot and dance Pt I/II – Crow 45770 Rare Detroit funk in pristine condition. Visual grade: M- €40 Emery Deutsch & The Astro Sound – You tried to warn me / Controfigura la-la-la – Future 11513 Far out instrumental exotica. Super clean copy. Visual grade: M-, warp NAP €40 The Nomads – Something’s bad / You’re gonna miss a good thing – Sevens 057 The only way to get this on 45 without shelling out four figures. Visual grade: M- €35 Sandra Lopez – I’m so lonely / Look what you’ve done – Phil LA of Soul 322 DJ Copy One of the more overlooked ones on the label although it has that Philly stamp of quality all over it. Visual grade: VG+ €30 Bobby Oroza – This love Pt I/II – Stylart 002 Second release on the Timmion side label that seems determined to only release face melting sweet ballads. Already repressed twice but this is the OG with the picture sleeve. Visual grade: M €30 Magnificent Perception – You know where I’m coming from Pt I/II – Known Artist 17867 Rare Alabama electro boogie in very clean condition. Visual grade: M- €30 LaVon Bridges – With a smile / We were young – Gloreco 1003 Beautiful Detroit mid-tempo popcorn oldi in mint condition. Visual grade: M- €30 Angela Davis & Reubin Fisher – Time don’t wait on no one / Talking bout my baby – Flaming Arrow 319 Totally overlooked crossover beauty on this legendary Detroit label. Visual grade: M- €30 Vass Corporation – All the love we lost / One more day – Kay-Dee 018 Amazing sweet soul that was never released until it was discovered by a local collector and put out on Kenny Dope’s label in 2008. Still not widely picked up but essential stuff IMO. Visual grade: M €25 Larry Williams – Wake up / same – Venture 627 DJ Copy Beautiful white demo of this under the radar dancer. Visual grade: M- €25 Rudy Robinson – Close your mouth Pt I/II – Lau-Reen 1001 Obscure Detroit instrumental in excellent condition. Visual grade: EX €25 Samson and Delilah – Honey / Got to get myself together – Match 0801 Philly sweet soul that’s still to have its day. Visual grade: M- €20 Larry Frazier – Before six / After six – Impulse! 45-205 Great instrumental soul jazz 45. Visual grade: VG+ €20
