Jaco Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Digging through some old LP's recently made me think are the Dells the greatest soul group ever? In terms of longevity they are probably unsurpassed and I believe the line up is virtually unchanged since their early days. "It's all up to you" is one of my all time tracks - simply flawless in my opinion.
Mike Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 think Richard Searling said over the fade out of this on one of his shows something like "thats what its all about...." have to agree

Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 are the Dells the greatest soul group ever? ...Unquestionably so. Soul music just does not get any better than "Does Anbody Know I'm Here", "The Love We Had (Stays On My Mind)", "Please Don't Change Me Now" etc. I sometimes wish that those who just know the Dells tunes that have been played out down the years would dig a little deeper to find that "Make Sure" is not the alpha and omega of the Dells - but if they only know the dancers, they are blessed nonetheless... TONE

It happened at Stoke as well, so I could be getting mixed up?
Pete S Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Not much Dells footage about - unless I rip the Trentham clip from SWONS
binsy Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Fantastic group, so many great tunes all that have been mentioned plus ' Bring back the love of yesterday' and the sublime Dells/Dramatics-Love is missing from our lives.
