Tezza Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 It's apparently a German 'Test Press' as they call them. The American is the usual Atlantic Demo
Benji Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 It never came out in Germany (at least not to my knowledge). If it was german, cat# would be different. "title" and "artist" would be printed in german, not in english. And it wouldn't state ASCAP on the label, it would be GEMA. As your copy has same cat# as the US release I'd say it's an US test press. Not that this would make it less collectable!
Alan T Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Benji is right, it's a US test press. SP on the label, pressed at Specialty Records Corp Pennsylvania. I remember Paul Mooney had one the same.

I got the info from Discogs or some other site that said it was German. I assumed originally it was US but a few people said that they didn't do Test Presses as they do the Demo run. So many people telling you so many different things. Thanks for the clarification. Seen Sister Sledges Love Don't You Go Through .. on a similar 'release' so assume that is also US cheers guys Terry
