Guest Okeydoke Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 (edited) Hope all is well folks, Another list of double's I'm moving on. All great tracks so hopefully you'll find something your after. Paypal or bank transfer's fine. UK post £2.50 signed (insured up to £50) or £7.50 recorded. Mail for non-uk rates. Thanks for looking. Creations – Footsteps / A Dream (Ex) £100Great double sider. Heavy Northern on A and classy crossover on the flip. Clean labels and Ex condition. Beautiful copy. Clifton Dyson & Gwen Matthews – I’m Giving Up (M) £40 Stone cold minter from old record store stock. Managed to get 2 and selling the double. This is unbeatable modern soul from a tiny LA independent label. Could very well see this 45 go. Major Lane – Um, Um. Um, Um (M) £25 Picture Sleeve This is lovely and a real period piece. Vinyl looks unplayed and sleeve in great shape, No tears or splits. See picture Major Lance – Rhythm (M) £25 Picture Sleeve Iconic image of Northern Soul that graced many a soul-nite flyer. Vinyl looks unplayed and sleeve in great shape Billy Butler – Come on Over To My Side (Ex) £15 A very under-rated Butler side from the magical production partnership of Gerald Simms and Carl Davis. There’s writing on label and stickers over artist and track details (See pics). Vinyl itself is flawless Tammi Terrell – This Old Heart of Mine (Ex) £15 Fantastic version of this classic from one of Motown’s leading ladies. Bob Brady & the Concords – Love is the Master / It’s Love (Ex) £20 Be difficult to find a better example of that mid-sixties pop soul sound which formed the bedrock of the early Northern Soul scene. A Twisted Wheel favourite. Great double sider. Sam Ward – Don’t Take It Away (VG+) £25 The grading's a bit misleading here as the record plays great. A much rarer promo copy on the very collectable Tamla ‘Double Globes’ label. Distinct R&B edge and one for the new breed collectors. Maximillian – The Snake (VG++) £20 Massive tune on both the mod and Scooter scene. Clean labels and although the vinyl looks a tad worn, the record plays Ex. Sandra Wright – Gotta See My Baby/We’re Gonna Make it (M) £35 This is a stone cold mint promo, never played and in company sleeve. Much rarer on promo copy Esther Phillips – Home Is Where The Hatred Is (VG) £15 Esther’s version on the Gil Scott Heron/Brian Jackson original. Fine for DJ’d, I’ve played it out many times, but has a few pops here and there Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell – California Soul (Ex) £15 A smoother and more soulful take on this classic. Great set ender. Edited February 12, 2017 by Okeydoke
