Steve Foran Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Afternoon guys, I have been doing a spreadsheet of the collection as I found I had 3 or 4 doubles. I have also been chasing and bidding on stuff I already have so enough was enough! I have seen that The Pointer Sisters Send him back and Marsha Gee Baby I need you are boots. No problem as I thought they were BUT Gloria Jones Come go with me is another matter. The copy is a black issue on vinyl. The label is sharp and a "matt" finish. The deadwax is 67091 (at 6 o clock). Then -1A then R-550. I think there is a daisy stamp but it is so feint that I cant honestly say yes or no. The dead wax is the same as the White Demo according to John Manships bootleg guide which he says would be original. The VERY feint daisy mark is at 9 o clock next to the bottom of the Uptown logo. Can anyone give me a clue please? Thanks Steve
Markd Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 As far as I understand ORIGINAL gloss label Rare gloss vinish black label, Capitol press triangle stamped matrix I A M inside the triangle. Stamped in numbers 45 - 67091 - P 1 ORIGINAL matt label The genuine authentic original press with the scratched in matrix. The 3 turn dead wax is 11.62mm wide. The matrix reads 67091 (a gap of 20.11mm) then -1A R-550. The vinyl is .98mm thick at the start of the run-in. "A" in the matrix is straight & sharp atb
