dean jj Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Do boots have the correct matrix number? thanks for anything you can tell me. dean
Tattoodave Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Supposedly there's a number difference on the boots, 5444 on the original, 5544 on the boot, also the original has MZC or MZG (looks like either) scratched in, where the boot doesn't.
dean jj Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 Gosh, if that is correct I do believe my 69 pence purchase [some time ago] is a real one! cheers dean

Ted Massey Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 original has 5444 on one side and 5544 on the other side. The boot has 5444 on both sides or 5544 on both sides cant remember which
dean jj Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 Thanks, yep mine has 5444 on the 'a' and 5544 on the 'b' dean
dean jj Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 Oh Yeah, I actually bought it for the killer ballad on the flip. dean
Hill868 Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Bought what I thought was a boot of this years ago at a fair, had it in my sales box for 3 years at £5, no takers, then saw a thread on here regarding the difference between real ones and boots, and found it was the original ! Got a decent three figure price for it (but nothing like it was going for a while later). Always thought the original looks more like a boot than the boot, if you get my drift ?!
