Kev Connellan Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) Hi all, can anyone provide me with a picture of Gil Bernal who sang 'can you love a poor boy' on RCA. Not sure if this is the same Gil Bernal who was a sax player??? Any info much appreciated....... especially a pic of the guy. Already done a google search, which didn't really help much. cheers. Unless RCA had two Gil Bernals in the 60s it's probably the same guy who played sax with Lionel Hampton when he was pretty young. He definately recorded for Verve in the late 50s / early 60s and later went to RCA so it looks fairly likely. Godz
Godzilla Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 And it seems it's the Sax playing Gil on "The Heat of the Night" soundtrack - on which he also gets a vocal credit so I guess that just about seals it Godz
