My Mrs reckons she has the 1st ever Casino badge upstairs in the loft in the holdall she used to use. ..she reckons its a burgandy colour and has a sort of rose on it like the Wheel blazer badge...anyone got a scan of the badge and was it the 1st one produced circa 1973?

It was Wigan Casino "Heart of Soul" badge. Pointed same thing out to my missus in a sad moment watching "T'Street" last night!

Paul, I used to have the first ever badge, my Auntie Jackie's husband gave it to me in 79 - she's a year older than me and he 5 years older - he went on the first night and I'm sure he said it was given out that night - Wigan casino First All Nighter, then Keep The Faith - Russ & someone.... I think it was yellow. I might be wrong about the colour, I sold it to Steve Morgan for £10 on the train to the Locarno on sunday.

It wasn't actually ready for the first night, so they gave it out about 2 months later. I first went to about the 7th, and managed to get a first allnighter badge!. It was definately yellow, and I'm sure it said right on russ & kev. Strange because I don't believe kev was at the first one. There is a copy one going round, that strangely says right on russ & ken?.

Mine were all stolen by my ex mrs little sister, don't know what she did with them. Looking on ebay, they go for quite a bit now.
