Alan Pollard Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 As Roger has mentioned earlier this is probably the greatest double sider of all time, heart wrenching soul music Levi and the boys at their very best. My UK red & white demo is probably the pride of my collection. Regards Alan
GordonS Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 It was the absolute showstopper of the night the last time I saw Levi at Manchester Arena a few years back. I expect you were there Alan, as I believe you like a little Motwon now and then. Gordon As Roger has mentioned earlier this is probably the greatest double sider of all time, heart wrenching soul music Levi and the boys at their very best. My UK red & white demo is probably the pride of my collection. Regards Alan

LEFT WITH A BROKEN HEART. anyone know of other versions? was it on a 7" at all?. i have played it out only from a sound superb (i think. i`m not going hunting for it now) cheapy. i know i heard it at bretby nighter. loads of good feedback of any cd i`ve put it on. you might hear it at the next willington!
Mark Bicknell Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 'Teahouse In China Town' takes some beating as good as the Jimmy Heart version if not better IMO. Regards - Mark Bicknell.

The Admirals did a version, available on DO BE YOU: KING VOCAL GROUPS VOL. 4. All the rest I have seen are from Reggae artists The Paragons (John Holt leads), Ken Boothe, Johnny Clarke, Dillinger, Barrington Levy, George Nooks, Dwight Pickney, and Junior Tucker. This info I found on AllMusic.com. More info on the Admirals' version is on this link: https://home.earthlink.net/~v1tiger/genemac.html
