Chris L Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 The original of this goes anywhere from crazy to well mental prices, £500 is not unthinkable, why is then that a sort of re-issue struggles to get £25.00? Is that re-issue legit? it certainly looks like it is.

Linda4me Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 The db7430 is listed as being a Buddy Greco record so a boot it is
Dave Pinch Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 the columbia logo is too big to be a 1967 release..that type stems from 1964

Britishbarry Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Just for the sake of interest, in the area I live we have singer by the name of Adam Okin who's uncle, Earl Okin, is the writer of this song.
Chris L Posted October 24, 2016 Author Posted October 24, 2016 Thanks for the info, wonder what the reasoning was behind the record catalogue number ? Why go to all the trouble and then put the wrong number on the label. Certainly will fool lots of people.

Most if not all British major record labels had the copyright year clearly printed on the label.
Mick Holdsworth Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 The other side of this boot is "Shop Around" which was originally on DB 7340 They have just transposed the 3 and 4, so as it appears to be correct font (and just carried it through to the "Stop" side)

Never liked it but the big boys did so I also felt a bit sophisticated knowing the name "Stop and you will become aware"! Funny old world innit. Hope all is well boss. Pete
Guest BabyBoyAndMyLass Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) Saw one of these in a charity shop a couple of weeks ago, chucked it back at 50p, same label as the pic but green. Didn't know it was a side, might go back and get it, will have listen first see if we like it. Edit: Just listened and remembered why we chucked it back. Edited October 24, 2016 by BabyBoyAndMyLass

Save yer money, spend a fiver and get "Tell Me What He Said". A far better record and a guaranteed floorfiller.
