Enjoyed reading these spins so here's a few I played at home this evening:

Both sides of the La Familia Inc - Finally LP.  To me at least the LP cut of Do You Love Me sounds better than the 45, better fidelity.

The B side of J.E. Morgan's Rhythm and Blues Album, the first track of which, Child, I played about ten times.

Followed this up with a few 45's pulled fairly randomly from a box:

The Blossoms - It's All Up To You + Touchdown

The Mighty Marvelows - In The Morning

Billy Stewart - Keep Loving

Lil Bob & the Lollipops - Who Needs You So Bad

John Woodson - Before

Frankie Newsom - Taunting Love

Latin Breed - Rainy Day

True Movement - What A Lovely Way To Meet

Meant to say this one massively underrated IMO, just brilliant

Yep, fine tune, probably LeRoy Hutson's finest hour in his short stay with The Impressions. Bearing in mind that LeRoy Hutson, and The Impressions are playing Blackpool next June, and, I Understand that Reggie Terrain has passed away, what;'s the chance of Mr Hutson rejoining Fred and Sam 'for one night only'  ?  Now that would be something.

Hi Chris;

Love threads like this, Iv always been interested in what other folks play at home. Yesterday I decided to convert a batch of 45's to MP3 but as usual lost my way and ended up having a good session. Here's what hit the decks and the laser flicker.

Bessie Banks " It sounds like my baby"

Enchanters "God bless the girl of mine"

Oscar Charles "Everybody's gotta cry"

Lady Wray "Do it again"

Fred "Love can last forever"

Miss Jackie Moore "Loser again"

Sequins "Someday you'll be mine"

Soul Scratch "Telephone"

Charms "I know what I want"

Vernon Greene "Look at look at me"

Benjamin & The Right Direction "Light of my life"

Shelley Fisher "I'll leave you girl"

Clarence Reid "With friends like these"

A.C.Caldwell "Wail lonely love"

Fred Pettis & The Soul Southerners "Live & love"

Al Perkins "Trust me" & "Just the one"

Beres Hammond "I'm in love with you"

Autographs "Sad sad feeling"

Otis Busch "Can I depend on you"

Durand Jones & The Indications "Smile"

Grace Jones & The True Loves "Times like these" & Love you down"

Eli Paperboy Reed "Id rather be alone"

Aaron Neville "All of the above"

Monophonics "Too long"

Would be glad to share any info wanted or needed.

Hi Mark;

It is superb, I got sent the album to review for UK Vibe but I thought it was poor and couldn't justify the minimal rating to get it up onto the site.

Now the new Lee Fields, Myles Sanko and Aaron Neville are something else.

Did you know the Grace Love & The True Loves has finally made it to vinyl a year after surfacing as a download new release.
