Guest Ole OKeh Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Hi, i'm looking for a tune with a chorus like "Don't break no promises" (maybe it "make" instead of break...) In the brigde (which leads to the chorus) there is one line like "I'm a man of this world". As it seems none of these lines are the title. Can anyone help me identify this one? Thanx!
Chalky Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Z.Z. Hill - Don't Make Promises on Kent? Same backing as Eddie Rey.
Guest closedms Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 As Alan T said sounds like it's this one.
Guest Ole OKeh Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Hi Alan (and and all other contributers), it's "Salt & Pepper - A Man of My Word"! Nice one! Thanks a lot! Okay, it wasn't "I'm a man of this WORLD" (omg me ears, what are they doing...) Cheers, ole

Cheers, ole As usual nice spot by Alan, you might as well go the full hog though and get the other suggestion by The Dramatics "Don't make me no promises" cheap and an absolute belter of a record. Just a thought, that's all Kev 1
Guest Ole OKeh Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Hi Kev, you're right. The Dramatics "Don't make me no promises" is great as well. Complete different style than Salt and Pepper, but when i checked this one when i tried to identy the other tune, i thought "nice serendipity" right away : ) Comes along with an execent bass-line and great drums (imagine they would have put the drums louder into the mix... would be even better, but thats the way drums had sound in a prodution like that - i admire those early modern/disco drummers before they had been replaced by drum-mashines : ( All the best Ole
