Guest BabyBoyAndMyLass Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Cool thread, labels can be exciting in themselves, from my box...
Pga1 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Hiya, always loved 'huff puff' and british demo's. Sorry no pictures, have enough trouble typing with one finger. Maybe someone could stick a pic of huff puff, cheers

Peter99 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) There are loads - this one looks good with a minty label. Edited September 27, 2016 by Peter99 3
Peter99 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I've always liked this label design - and the record, an Al Wilson cover, is awesome. 1
David Meikle Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I always loved the colour scheme and text design on this one. The music helped too!
Popular Post David Meikle Posted September 27, 2016 Popular Post Posted September 27, 2016 Sometimes a simple design can be very effective. This one was named after JoAnne Bratton's son Derek who tragically died in an accident in 1962. JoAnne's nickname for Derek was Ric-Tic. The label mesmerised collectors. I yearn for those innocent days. 6
Geeselad Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 these for starters Always like labels with photos of the artist too, 1

Dayo Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) The original US Motown design (with the road map) has not and cannot be bettered ;-) Edited September 27, 2016 by Dayo
Marshman Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Couple of beauties from my box (Scans from internet) 1
Chris L Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Always thought these were pretty cool.......... 3
Bbrich Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 two of my favourites are 'fee' & 'roadshow' which have already been posted - i do like the 'cartoon' style. 1
Colouredman Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Best labels ever got to be: Monster Masters label: Ruby Jean Roving girl Rika label for Tommy Bush Quinvy label. 1
maslar Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 As a design classic I don't think you can better the Tamla "twin globes" (any of the variations). Ric-Tic and Golden World close seconds.

Woodbutcher Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Probably the 'un-coolest' has to be Arctic , guess nobody told the designer that penguins only inhabit the southern hemisphere ... 1

Joesoul1958 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 On of my favourite labels out of Buffalo N.Y, love the multicoloured design.
Davenpete Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Can't find pics of em and sold em a while back but I love - Bomb (Fabulous Impact 'My Baby'), Sassy Kitten - I Don't Like IT But I Love You and Boogie Man Records 'Lady Lady Lady' (still got that one), prettiest label I ever had was Penn Records (You Don't Love Me Anymore - forget the female artist). Dx
Weingarden Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Love Quinvy and some others, but this is my all-time favorite. 1
The Yank Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 This one looks good especially in its sleeve. 2
Sammy Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I really think this label looks cool. Comes in a blue/grey colour scale as well... 1
