Kegsy Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) I have a £500 record that is in M- condition except for some dry/hardened glue on the run in. It had been kept in an paper sleeve that had been sellotaped along the bottom. The record has picked up a small amount of the glue, not much, the record can still be cued up carefully. What's the best way to remove the glue. Edited September 13, 2016 by Kegsy

Andy Rix Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Maybe 'Sticky Stuff Remover' ..... I've used it for removing price tag stickers on labels etc and works wonderfully .... It's about £5 from Amazon .... If not the other suggestions should do it Andy

Steve S 60 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 In my daughter's arts and crafts studio she soaks all her glue brushes in hand sanitiser. It's probably the alcohol in it that dissolves the glue, so that may be worth a try. A small bottle costs less than £1. Just brush it on to the affected area.

SLAMMINSOUL Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Record_restoration Hi, have a read of this, interesting info about record cleaning and limescale from using undid tolled water. I always used isopropyl alcohol myself. Amazing stuff! Thanks Brian
