Guest Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Once again Mel---o--dy,i remember this one as well (approx late Feb 1976) i know as i took a girl this time called Gillian(who wasn,t into Northern at all---but in those days i tried to get everybody into it!!--i recall she wore a green long coat with a velvet collar,ashprt split skirt and knee length black boots!!----"Tony,why is everyone staring at me?"--but she did look fit!!!----back to the night----L.j Johnson,Evelyn Thomas,Barbara Pennington i think A few of 100per cent poison were in the band( long time ago!! The nite was very good ,they played the Manchester Ritz the next afternoon(about 12 hrs. later!! I recall the date as i went to Ballykinler in Northern Ireland on the Tuesday after as a Na.a.f.i manager and to my delight the Regiment in camp were the Queen,s Lanc,s Regt.--all lads my age from Manchester,Wigan,Preston etc..--the red hot summer of 76 --happy days. God i can see that Split skirt and boots now!!! Tony.C.
