(These Motown stable white demos are a thing of beauty, duplicate copy hence the sale of this all time classic)

 

Eric & Vikings - I'm truly yours - Gordy 7132 WD Ex £25
(Superbly worked Motown, classy and so far on down the road from the raw sound of the early days. Date written on both labels)

 

The following five all have mild signs of age on the labels, however the vinyl on each is not the usual beaten up Detroit, they play beautifully with absolutely no kickback......corking stuff!

 

Perigents - One girl too many / Let's get into something - Maltese 101 WD M- £60
(Cracking double sider, subtle mid-tempo on top and pile driver dancer on the flip, harder on demo than "Love on the rampage" if you ask me, and poorer condition seen issues from 50-75)

 

Laura Lee - To win your heart - Ric-Tic 111 WD M- £75 SOLD
(Ever popular and in the most desirable format, top label slightly off centre and red pen flick on both titles, innocuous really)

 

Prophets - My kind of girl - Stephanye 335 WD M- £40
(Another sharp Myto Music production, mellow Detroit on a rare white demo, and in factory fresh condition)

 

Rose Battiste - I can't leave you - Thelma 102 WD M- £225
(The "sweetheart darling" of Detroit, stunning vocals on this early Thelma outing, can't be easy to pick up in mint, red XOL, DJ stamp and very minor ring wear more visible on the scan than in the hand)

 

Chris Clark - Love's gone bad - VIP 25038 WD M- £75 SOLD

(Femme Motown dancer with attitude, XOL both sides, slight wear on one label portion, otherwise plays M-, duplicate otherwise I wouldn't let it go)
