Hi Ken

Why did you lock in down so early, been out all day, went to responed and couldn't. Great record loved it then still do. What was the story anyone ?. Don't think this is the same George Clinton and I'm sure it never got a US 45 release.

Dave

Topic re-opened by popular demand

Will have a listen this evening Ken

A white (!) George Clinton. LP only in the states (Probe or another of the ABC labels, credited as The George Clinton Band). Presumably released here on a 45 on the back of Northern (Mecca first?) spins.

remember dancing to this in the highland room - blackpool as a 16 year old in 1974, loved it then ,still sounds ok ,but ive a soft spot for all the mecca sounds

George Clinton - Please Don't Run - ABC LP

Fookin' great record. Got hold of the pre press promo LP with all the pre release bumpf last year. Ebay - $10.00 or thereabaouts. Only bidder....bit surprised as it happens. Would have thought most "oldies" would have gone for it. Might spin this at the Central Soul Club in November....see what happend eh?
