Like the vocal, as a dancer it's a  bit too slow for me but having said that, I like it

Poor mix. Horns way too prominent. From what I can hear the backing vocals are alright but way too low in the mix.
And the song doesn't go anywhere. Don't know what the other side is but I sure wouldn't keep that record for just this side.

Agree with Benji. Pleasant but unremarkable. What's the other side like ? Maybe that other side is the better side ...  you say you were listening to it ten times a day.

I thinks it's great very distinctive sound. I love these type of recordings where the vocal is detached from the backing track very soulful to my hears

Mmh, never liked Cajun Hart. I understand it's northern but I never could find the soul in it. I do find the musical arrangements rather good and uplifting in 'gotta find a way' but it's still a pop record. Now the C/U above IMHO sounds like a left field moddie/hippie garage thingy to me. Not northern nor soul. No offense !

Is it foreign European? Sounds dead flat garage sound very likeable but not a spin. Probs some hippy thing from late 60s? I know the voice i think. Nowt like Cajun heart tho. Barry Winslow sounds more like Cajun Heart in my head at least.
