Long term backing singer for James Brown finally got a solo lp in 1979. As it's produced by JB it is a kind of unique Disco Funk sound. Nothing too fast & James' nod to the Disco era seems to be in the use of a few spacey effects & he still retains the funk on SHOWDOWN / WALLFLOWER / HE'S MY DING DONG MAN. But probably the best cut is the more Soulful tune OH THIS FEELING
