Dean Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Not a personal philosophical question just an idle Monday curiosity. Help me out . . . How many soul / blues tunes contain the thoughtful lyric "I love the Life I live, I live the Life I Love" or similar lyrical permutations. Just a silly curiosity. Willie Dixon - I love the Life I Live (also done by Willie Nelson) Muddy Waters - I love the Life I live, I live the Life I Love Willie Parker - I Live the Life I Love Tony Michaels -I Love The Life I Live Junior Walker - I'm a Roadrunner Jerry Williams - Run Run Roadrunner The Magic Tones - It's Better To Love and almost but not quite Mr Floods Party (and other versions) Compared to What Now I' sure II missing some obvious ones that are escaping me. . . fill me in.
Guest MBarrett Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) This is the very first one I thought of. At 2:20 (Just changed the original vid I posted) Edited July 11, 2016 by MBarrett
Winsford Soul Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Me. Love the life I live. Live the life I love. Inked on both sides of my neck. One of my fave tunes and just so apt for this lifestyle Steve
Robbk Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 I like the Tony Michaeles (Micale) song, and my life. much more than I did when I had a "real job".
Roburt Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 My personal fave is the Willie Parker.... a big UK club play (both sides) after it's UK President label release back in Nov 67. 1
