Quinvy Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 September Jones & Headlines, the prices are the wrong road round, sold my Headlines for about a one fifth of that,no relation to Garlic George are you? You're raving Ken. September Jones very common and this one is VG. Headlines rarer and in m- condition. Wish you'd sold it me for £100. When was this 1989?

I don't think £500 to far off the mark, especially mint. Most of those I've seen recent years have been far from mint and more than 200 quid. Why you think September Jones should be £500 beyond me

Why you think September Jones should be £500 beyond me I didnt really, just shokced at the Headliners price, and all the records are £300+ plus, and both copys i had where near enough mint, infact its put me off, trying ever to own this.

Its all your fault Quinvy, before you believed the hype,i wasnt expecting it being more than £200,and less than that should have been more than possible, one time i was the only one who played it,you have to badger most djs to get them to play it. Supply and demand mate. I wanted it so I bought it. Then there was one on ebay and that fetched £500. It only takes someone to play a lesser known track out, and a few DJ's hear it and think, wow what's that, and bingo it becomes a hot item and the price goes up. Pat & the Blenders for example
Ted Massey Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Headliners awful record IMO totally forgettable sorry George
Soulof Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Don´t agree today you and me Ted. Headlines is a fantastic track. don´t have the money for it myself atm though

Pat & the Blenders for example So i`ve played at my Normington spot, played it at 100club on a number of occassions, wasnt worth that then,so why now?,or when i sold it was i taken advantage of?,thats it i wont sell any of me records again, cause i aint got a clue ,i play loads of lesser know trakcs, does this make em` all worth £400+ or does it depend on who plays it?,sorry for who thread it is,but i think everybody is on the wind up,or some people are spending too much on there credit cards, when somebody spend there last penny, thats real money, not the electronic stuff,no wonder Ovenchip dont like Europe, they dont like credit. Pete S Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 The Headlines That is my old copy which I sold to (I think) Ian levine, I remember playing this when I did These Old Shoes, that must have been 98, so it's no newie. I know it's mine because I did that bit of label damage top right myself trying to get a bit of mould off the label. I thought this was about £300 now.

I saw a vg+ copy go for just over £300 18 months 2 years ago. I still think it's worth 4-500 these days. Your right about it being no newie though Pete, was spun mid 80's.
