Winnie :-)
In many dictatorships, freedom of expression is often ruthlessly quashed. Although, this can leave a bitter taste in the mouth, there are a few benefits - such as the policing of government buildings (soul venues) to eradicate those not 'on message' . Similarly, I'd prefer cameras to be confiscated by the secret soul police, so that the impressionable proletariat wouldn't be bombarded with photos of ageing subversives - especially those intent on mischief making. vaultofsouler
my mate brett franklin is a member of the soul police constabularly. i have seen this man storm the stage a few times when a boot is being played. quite funny really cos as he does his march to the stage i always wonder if this will be the time that he ends up getting head-butted top man regardless Shane .... seen this a time or two.... still think this is a belief on what format should be played rather than a "police" situation though Shane.... more a "purist" trait .... As for being a member of the soul police constabulary.... Well if he was intent on "instructing" someone what they should play instead .... I'd agree so myself .... paultp
I must say that there is nothing worse than someone coming up to the decks to check your records. I've had it a few times and it really pisses me off. They ask you what the other side is or some such bollox in a less than thinly veiled hint that you are playing a boot. It has happened the most with Yvonne Baker - You Didn't Say a Word (yes I do play it). I try to get in first with "It's Yvonne Baker - Have you heard it before? (results in glares) Would you like to have a look at it?" if yes then I usually just laugh at them. cnuts Customer service - its my reason for living  Link to comment Social source share
