Albert Petit Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Hi mates! Any idea of the artists? The only info about is on the picture... Thanks!! Voz 002_sd.m4a
Roburt Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Is it an instrumental or vocal cut ?? There's an awful C&W / rockabilly early 60's type 45 on Allstar by a guy called Ray Frushay (a vocal track) but don't imagine it's that.
Albert Petit Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 I add an audio... it´s a vocal soul funk cut... thanks :-)
Alan T Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 My first thought on listening to it was Joe Tex - He did an album in 1978 called "Rub Down" your acetate has "Rundown" on it, maybe a mistake and it was from the "Rub Down" session.
Dave Thorley Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Sounds very like a late 70's, early 80's recording
Billy Jo Jim Bob Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Checked Popsike and your acetate shares the same title as two others shown which are from the HDH Invictus label. One is clearly a carver of the original - or it seems that way. Checking the Invictus 45 rpm discography shows that several numbers from '72 - 9127 and 9131 along with 1261, 1262, 1266 and 1270 from '74 were all planned but no release for those numbers. Maybe your acetate is one of those planned ?? Parliament were on the label, so maybe them ??

Steve G Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Where is the sound file? BTW Invictus 9127 was a scheduled Freda Payne release that never came out.

Mick Holdsworth Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Here's an mp3 convertion Voz 002_sd.mp3 Cheers Mick
Albert Petit Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 Thanks to all for replies! This cames in a vintage cardboard carpet with "demostration only" on front... Thats sounds like a live recording in studio... at the first seconds sounds a musician speaking... Cheers to all!
Larsc Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 It's a Holland-Dozier 45 on Invictus. This one:https://www.discogs.com/Holland-Dozier-Im-Gonna-Hijack-Ya-Kidnap-Ya-Take-What-I-Want/release/4731604
