I've sold a few 78s including some to Germany. I got some very stiff cardboard from a car body repairer who saves it for me. It comes as boxes for Land Rover/Jaguar body parts so has to withstand being thrown around the backs of vans. Other car companies seem to use thinner card but still fairly strong. The parcel was two outer thick cards and one thin inner card with a circle cut out to hold the disc. It wasn't very heavy but was almost impossible to bend. All the discs arrived safely.

Hi, just wondered if anyone has sold a 78? I have a copy of Reet Petite - Jackie Wilson on UK Coral Records..Iam a bit nervous how to pack it,,shellac's very brittle ..Thanks Paul

Sorry to come across as negative, but the 78 collecting scene is very fickle - and despite what price guides say, the number of collectors is dwindling and prices dropping. A quick check of ebay shows Reet Petites selling for an average of a fiver. Could be a lot of work for not a huge return...

I used to have thousands of 78 rpm records.

They mostly all sold... still have a few, however

Muddy Waters, Memphis Slim, and many others.

We recently found a Robert Johnson 78 here in Crowley, LA (i work with Master-Trak record company)

As far as selling... it depends on the artist.
Some 78s, I can't give away.
