....Don't think so, and I also don't think it's blue eyed soul, either (although it's a sublime pop record) - but it has the same backing track as Ben E King's version on Atlantic (the other side of "Ecstasy") and that's definitely soul...

cheers tone, yes its a great record and have heard a lot worse played on the scene,pity its such a short track :D another minute wouldnt go amiss :D

might be teaching granny to suck eggs here - but just incase you didnt know the Jay from Jay and the americans is the same Jay Traynor of up & Over fame :thumbsup:

That's not actually 100% correct, Jay Traynor only sang on their first couple of singles, the singer on the ones that we know (Living above your head, Got hung up etc) is actually another Jay, Jay Black.

Pete's correct in both respects - and the singer on this version of "Yes" is indeed Jay Traynor, BTW...
