Warren Schatz was only involved with a little soul stuff, he did much more on the disco & pop sides of things.

However he is remembered for his work on the Loma sides made by the Voicebox.

Warren tells me that he made those tracks and they were licensed for release on Loma (as an act of friendship) by Jerry Ragovoy. Warren produced and arranged the cuts and even played drums on them (though he admits himself that he's no drummer).

I guess he's still a little fazed by the popularity that "I Want It Back" achieved in the UK .........

Cut a version of Third Time Arounds "soon everything's gonna be alright" on Jamaican Wildflower (as well as NY label Disco Soul) and he came on here regarding it .

A guy I used to work with put me on to this as a massive Casino spin mid 70's - clearly it was that popular then?

Never seems to get much attention now when it has so many of the right ingredients IMO - straight to the point blue-eyed dancer of the highest order - I love it
