Pete S Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 (edited) This is some footage of Little Anthony & The Imperials from 4 or 5 years ago, it's taken from a brilliant doo-wop concert which also features Jerry Butler, Lloyd Price, Bobby Lewis, Lou Christie, The Reflections, The Rays and so on and so on. Anyway Anthony does 4 numbers I think including Hurt So Bad and they are so professional and brilliant I was wondering why no-one has ever bought them to the UK. Here they are doing Going Out Of My Head and you have to say that they are almost as good as they were in the 60's. (I wanted to put Hurt So Bad up but youtube kept thinking it was a duplicate. The Hurt So Bad from this show had me welling up!) Edited October 5, 2006 by Pete-S

Mr Soul Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 these clips you keep turning up pete brilliant just brilliant woody
Paul Conroy Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I agree with Tone, they are not cheap, I came across a web site by accident approx a year ago, some agency thingy!!, anyway the prices were very high, so I passed the info onto a good friend of mine who promotes live acts of all types of music to see if he could get a deal, and this guy has had Solomon Burke on in Newcastle just recently and he knows his stuff, he got back to me saying it was not worth the risk what they were asking. He told me he tried all ways to get a deal but could not. It's a great shame as they would go down a storm over here and on the continent, lets hope someday someone will take a risk and they perfrom live in the UK Paul Conroy
Rudzy Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I'll second that pete, these clips are excellent. my favourite is the Mighty Joe Young - Suffering soul, and Major Lance just cracks me up with his northern soul workout to "Monkey Time" nice one kiddo
