Pete S Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 On EBay, anybody tell me anything about this Or got a soundfile of it so I can get my own cut & sell it LINK Mick Holdsworth is on here regularly, I'm sure he'll tell you about it eventually!
Pete S Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Come to think of it, now that I've played it - it's a girl vocal to The Way You've Been Acting Lately instrumental, totally different song though - I've either got this, I've had it, or it's been posted up before. I'd guess this might have something to do with the old UK Kool Kat label, they also put out a different version, though this girl is a better singer. As for it being an original US recording...
Jodie Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 It's mine. I traded it with Mick some time ago and everything i know about it, i've already put in the description on ebay. There have definately been partial soundclips doing the rounds but if anyone has a full, un-tampered one i'd love to know where it's come from.................. Jodie On EBay, anybody tell me anything about this Or got a soundfile of it so I can get my own cut & sell it LINK

Heard this some years ago through old KTF. was about the same time as the Larry Hammond things Dave Burton did in his flat in Hong Kong, not saying it's from Dave though.
Jodie Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Hehehe...... This Dave had a very girlie voice if he did this one! Jodie Heard this some years ago through old KTF. was about the same time as the Larry Hammond things Dave Burton did in his flat in Hong Kong, not saying it's from Dave though.

Jodie Sorry Jodie, I didn't realise it was you, but I'm not bullshitting you, I've either got or I've had that track. It's just over the last 35 years, so many 'new' vocals to old instrumentals have appeared...that's the only reason I was a bit sceptical about it Heard this some years ago through old KTF. was about the same time as the Larry Hammond things Dave Burton did in his flat in Hong Kong, not saying it's from Dave though. Larry Allen mate. yes you're right, I knew we'd had it before, this was about 1999 - 2000
Chalky Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Hehehe...... This Dave had a very girlie voice if he did this one! Jodie Dave is a soulie now living in Hong Kong (or was). Few years back he took the backings to several songs and recorded them with new vocals in his flat, The Larry Hammond is one, called Whenever I'm With You and it has the backing to Happiness is Here. Half way through his mobile rings and Larry starts singing the phone's ringing Another done with Larry Hammond at that time is Sad Sad Day, the backing is Sidras Theme. There's more but can't remember rest right now

Chalky Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Sorry mate thought you were talking about the Larry Allen with the added girl backing vocal it was about the same time though that I remember hearing the alternate Al Kent, like you Pete sure I've got it on a disc somewhere.

I know half a dozen people at least who have sent ME short soundbites just to prove they have them but none of them have been the full song with no interuptions as neither me nor Mick Holdsworth have ever recorded a full one.
