The Crows are famous for making what is generally regarded, by most authorities on the subject (and I would never argue with authority!) as the first 'proper' Rock 'n' Roll hit by a black act, "Gee" in 1954. They only ever recorded for Rama, apart from one side of a single they had on Rama's sister label Tico, "Mambo Shevitz"... All their Rama recordings were compiled, by yours truly, on a now-deleted Westside CD, "Strictly For The Birds: The Crows Meet The Wrens", in 2001.... TONE
