Gotsoul Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Nice groove from the group that changed it's name later to-Rock Candy.
Guest cookbook Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Released on the flip of the great "I Don't Think I'll Ever Love Another" later covered by the Darling Dears. What label is The Contemplations on?
Gotsoul Posted March 30, 2016 Author Posted March 30, 2016 Did you know that John Manship wants[500.00]for this record?...I don't like it that much.
Guest cookbook Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 So was the song released under both names, only ever seen the Rock Candy version?

Gene-r Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 14 hours ago, cookbook said: So was the song released under both names, only ever seen the Rock Candy version? Yes. The Contemplations' original release on Dontee dates from 1969, with the instrumental B-side by the Dontee Studio Band. The version credited to Rock Candy is the very same Contemplations track, but a 1971 release. It was believed to have been stuck on the B-side as a gap filler, because the real Rock Candy only had one track ("I Don't Think I'll Ever Love Another"), and found itself mistakenly credited to Rock Candy as a result.
Chalky Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 They are the same group or at least one evolved into the other.
