Guest Trevski Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 (edited) Lots of versions of this, as discussed in a previous thread, but what's the story behind the Magnetics (my fave) version? Is it any of the Sable/Bonnie/RaSel Magnetics, who we know were diferent groups, or another group again? what is its history? Edited October 2, 2006 by Trevski
Guest Trevski Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Seen a Grapevine release on JM's as Magnetics feat: Johnny Mckinney, anyone know anymore?
Louise Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 The Magnetics Featuring John L McKinney was an unissued Sable recording which previously only existed on an acetate, discovered by John Anderson which he then sold to Richard Searling, Richard played it on his Cellar full of Soul radio show extensively through the late 80's & early 90's, then when John reactivated Grapevine in 2000 he licensed the track from John McKinney to release on Grapevine (104) this is the only legal format that this track is now available on. Hope you find that of interest
