Pete S Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 These were made for jukeboxes, there are hundreds of interesting ones, the most famous probably being Willie Mitchell's Driving Beat (featuring The Champion)

Dave Moore Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 As said, there are loads of these "Little LPs". Lot's of stuff on Atlantic, Chess etc. Motown issued 34 of them, made by a company in Ohio if I remember corectly. Basically, most of them are exact replicas of the full LPs of the same name, but obviously with less tracks. If anyone has a Martha Reeves and The Vandellas one I'd be very interested in buying it, or seeing a scan of it. The Willie Mitchell one is a quandry for me....I have it on a yellow wax Little LP. I've seen it on black wax and am not sure about the authenticity of the yellow one. (Can't really see it being booted on a "Little LP though can you?) Plus it was released on LOndon at it's height of popularity for 50p anyway. Any ideas anyone? Regards, Dave www.theresthatbeat.com www.hitsvillesoulclub.com www.soulclub.org www.deancourtney.com
