Gotsoul Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 What a cool classic group that evolved into-Ray,Goodman,Brown, my fav is the gem-With You...do you have a favorite?
Ian Dewhirst Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Sexy Mama, Girls, Nine Times. I love the commercial ones. Ian D 1
Tiberius Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 What a great group, where do you begin. A personal fave would be To You With Love 1
Still Diggin Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 At the moment it's 'Rain in my back yard' as it seems to have been doing this all day! . Worth checking out is the you tube clip of the fellows backing Alicia Keys on her 'You don't know my name' track. Mind you just watching Alicia keys is not to difficult. 1
AlanB Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I like I've Got The Need, and the similar Got To Get To Know You.
Sunnysoul Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 (edited) No question Nine Times is right up there with the best ever 70s dancers but every bit as good is JUST HAVING YOUR LOVE , a dancer that remains LP only: Edited March 10, 2016 by sunnysoul 3
Popular Post Kegsy Posted March 10, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2016 I always liked this, its the one people always forget when talking about the Moments. 4
Roburt Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I like "I've Got The Need" (though Chuck's version is better), so I'd have to go with the obvious "69 Times".
Tony A Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Just having your love gets my vote from the album Sharp. 1

Chris Turnbull Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 'Rain in my Backyard' comes close, kicking falsetto vocal toward the end Nine Times, love it when you think it's on the way out but then the sax break kicks in and takes it to another level Even love top-ten-tastic 'Jack in the box' But for me it's 'Sweet sweet lady', like something beamed down from another planet - guitar riffs too Isleys but sublime strings and harmonies - the last minute possibly my favourite in any 45 - headphone heaven 1
Gointoagogo Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 What a great thread this is. I also love Linda Jones brilliant version of this one "I Do"

Did not know it was never a single! Glad I kept the LP...... Ed
Triode Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 love just about all their output but my faves are "Where can I find her" & "Lady in Blue"(previously unissued from a Sequel box set).......superb group! Triode
Stateside Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Sweet Sweet Lady is my favourite, although I do like Look at me I'm in Love with the French Version on the flip and "Love on a two way street" with this on the flip on UK London. Seems to be the same backing track as Lezli Valentine Kev
Chris Turnbull Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Also this one, soul as deep as you like and then some 2
Ik001 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Is this the same Moments or is my ignorance for all to see? (If so this has to be their best outing). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sv3yYSAz7V4 1
Tobytyke Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 "Gotta find a way" Cheesey but great intro. then a soul classic

Possibility then that she was with the guys in 67 & they were backing her up. However, most members of the group came out of earlier outfits so I doubt that they were involved.
Guest Johnny One Trout Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Another one for me, although it's from the Ray, Goodman & Brown period is the sublime "Another day"
Speedlimit Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 well all the 70's out put plus this just tops it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94xoZZjplpc 1

Mr Fred Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 For me its just got to be "Nine Times" absolutely timeless and I can even remember where I first heard it, The Golden Lion on Bradshawgate in Bolton and the dj was Paul Johnson. Regards Fred
Guest Polyvelts Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 "One time, two times, three times, four times, five times, six times, seven eight nine times" !!! TUNE !
Tank Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Here here for Sweet Sweet Lady! Also Just Having Your Love. Never got the props it deserved being LP only IMHO.
Louise Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 What about "Girls" and "I'm So Lost" also released credited to Mark Greene their lead singer. Dave
