I haven't seen this book mentioned on here. Just published a couple of weeks ago.  Apologies if it has been.

It looks as if it could be a good read.

They Danced All Night - Gethro Jones

Knowing Gethro. Not as well as many on here. I hasten too add.  but it will be funny and sad because he had some stories to tell.

Great dancer alongside Craig Westwood they where up therewith the best of them. They wolves lot on here can tell you much better.

As someone who grew up in Wolverhampton during the seventies while getting involved more involved with the soul scene as the years went by, Gethro is someone I always remember with affection friendly bloke who always had time for youngsters such as myself. The best dancer I ever saw along with Keb .Will buy the book as soon as possible looking forward to reading it.

One brilliant book ,could not put it down.

I lived in Wolverhampton for most of 1970 thru 74 so there should be a lot in this book I can relate to.

Anyway just ordered a copy from Amazon and they let you read the first couple of chapters on line. Wow! Moving stuff.

There are not too many books in my life that I have read in one session. But this might just be one of them.

Thanks for the heads up - ordered it straight away. Remember him well from Wigan. Third in the First Anniversary Dance Competition. In Wigan's Chosen Few on Top of The Pops. All-round cool guy, slick-dresser, brilliant dancer... Really looking forward to reading the book.
