Have they all at one point owned the same record, or are there more copies about than first thought, or is it the more likely option that there is a 1970's bootleg that they have unsuspectingly owned without knowing.... I have see 2 copies that look the same one has a matrix B9001-A and the other in B9001-A P.B.

I've seen a list of Soussan's from I think 1975 with this on for a fiver so was a pretty rare record then when compared with other items on the list. Edited February 28, 2016 by chalky

Doesn't matter how rare the bootleg is, its still a forgery and not original, I would sooner make a carver for £10 to play at home than pay over £400.00 for something that is not an original. Like the "Uncle in Florida" would send it over for plays at The Casino, and press it up thinking the demand would follow, but it didn't. A bit like "Moving forward" Nat T Jones which is also not common on a pressing. 2

Soussan had sent it over and also listed it for a fiver...unfortunately probably too left field for Wigan at the time. 2
Ian Dewhirst Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I should point out that there were hardly ANY boots of Eddie Daniels back then. The record came into conversation quite a bit but no one I knew had a copy, not even Colin Curtis and he loved it. If there were bootlegs of it, then they certainly didn't filter onto the scene back then. I don't think there could have been any more than a handful. There was a massive amount of bootleg paranoia at the time. I received a George Blackwell 'original' from Soussan but didn't take any enjoyment from it because I thought it was a boot, so it went in a swap deal. But guess what? I never saw any more after that. So these were not titles that were bootlegged in any quantity that's for sure. Ian D 1
