Completely blown away. Not seen one for sale for ages and has been noted on several wants lists in recent times. Great record and one that has become very hard to obtain. Prices for classic oldies at present are going through the roof despite the poor exchange rate.

Yes I know, I've pulled out my copy 1 month ago to put it in my play-box and re-listened to the instrumental flip which is a decent mechanical driven tune.

I like my Wand in the demo format, collectors have silly-tricky mind set-ups like that... And indeed some of the rarer Wand 45's are indeed much harder on stocker.

There are 29 copies sold on Popsike, highest price £295 in 2014. 

Only ONE copy of the 29 sold is an issue copy - rare indeed! (pictured below, sold in January 2010 for £80)

£80 is a bargain, £294 is over the top IMHO but in a realistic high-end price accordingly to today's volatile market where $999.00 is plain insane !

Has it ever been confirmed who this Al Wilson is? The last I heard was that is supposed to be J R Bailey who was also Chuck Wood. 

Great record but yet another crazy price .

Fantastic Northern Soul record and Wigan Casino allnighter monster sound. 

The prices of the classics are going crazy compared to the prices of the previous decades, but it all reflects demand and how many copies are on the market.

There must be hundreds of originals of this record in the UK, but they are all safely tucked away in collections!

J.R Bailey doesn"t sound much like Chuck Wood to my ears but he may be Lee Roye ???

Perhaps I'm getting Chuck Wood mixed up here as I think your'e right about Lee Roye , but what do reckon to Al Wilson = JR Bailey.

The "Wand" Al Wilson (Not the other one) , Rubin, and Chuck Wood are all supposed to be the same. Also they / he is also supposed to be JR Bailey. I don't know if this is definite, but there was some earlier thread about it a few years ago.

I think someone has an acetate of "Tears" credited to JR Bailey. As for being Al Wilson I"ll have to read the old thread.

Another copy on eBay at present in lesser condition but surely won't fetch half the price. Must dig mine out sometime to see if it is an issue or a demo.
