BBC would like your help

Calling all Northern Soul fans, the BBC would love to hear from you.

BBC Music is crowdsourcing fans’ memories and archives from over 50 years of British rock, pop and Soul music for a new series to be broadcast on BBC Four called ‘The People’s History of Pop’.

We’d love to hear from fans who followed the scene when Northern Soul first flourished in Britain back in the 70’s. Do you remember hearing your first record? Did you go to Clubs,  all-nighters at The Wheel, The Torch, Va Va's, Cats, Wigan Casino, Blackpool Mecca, Cleethorpes, Samantha's? What about venue membership cards - have you kept yours?
