check the pics out,ive seen the recent boot of this and it looks nothing like this,but when did this particular variation get booted? i dont recall a 80's or 90's,and im sure there is no 70's boot cos i doubt it had been noticed then?

could this copy be orig?

Wrong colour Pink Dobber 

It looks like modern type vinyl to me, and I can't see the right markings in the runout groove.  I wouldn't take a chance on it!

S-104-B  then circle with what looks like 2/5 in it then the Monarch pressing plant triangle followed by 66575-X (denotes April 1967).

The photo shows the S-104-B in the run out but it' s the wrong way up and straddles the run out grooves where the original doesn't.

Just checked mine and the hard loving woman side the matrix although the same S-104-A is not the same and looks like it's been scratched in. and also has delta 66575 on the run out.

The delta numbering sytem was used by several companies.  If it is a monarch press it would have MR in a circle.  Then come the delta number, the triangle followed by the number.  ALCO also used the same sytsem , ALC inside a cirlce followed by tne triangle then the number. X denotes the b side.

whilst i agree its not orig,im not convinced its a recent boot,just feels and looks much older?

forgot to add that this copy has the title of each side very finely etched in the runout,but it is extremely fine and small

Very good mate.  I will see how things are and if home, hopefully pop up for a beer or two 

Bizarrely it has been "reissued" twice recently, one with the right flip and one with a double A side. The one with the flip was done by "Stomping Sevens" I believe, and I have a sneaky feeling Jessie gets his stuff pressed up in the U.S. , so the quality of finish may be slightly different to the one with the double "A" side.

Pretty sure Jessie did the one with same track both sides cus he couldn't source the flip....don't know if he got it eventually and did it again ?

Probably an assumption on my part based on Jazzman selling the "Hard Loving Woman" side until recently, and I know they stock Jessie's stuff, also looking at the "not quite right" text  on the double "A" sider, it looks similar to a lot of the "reissues" coming out from other sources - Maybe the track has come out 3 times!!!!!!!

so theres three boots, one old plus two recent and the only way to detect an original is via matrix in the run out reading S-104-B  then circle with what looks like 2/5 in it then the Monarch pressing plant triangle followed by 66575-X  ? Did I summarize that correct or any additions (must admit lost a bit track on this) ?

Now you see when I first saw that I was going to say it was an original because the bootleg has the same track on both sides...

There's no old bootleg, the first one is about 2 years old

The 2/5 in a circle could actually be an 'a' with the slash being the 'L' and the 5 or also seen as a 9 being the 'c', therefore an ALCO press who also used the Delta numbering system.

And it isn't the Monarch Pressing plant Triangle.  It is the Greek Delta sign.  Monarch is MR or MR in a circle!

yeah there's definitely not an old one, I remember getting it cut for myself on a proper metal acetate in about 2000 and I wouldn't have done that if there were a boot.

 

I've actually had an original of this once, I sold it on Soul Source, long long ago
