It's a bit like the question "how long is a piece of rope" in today's market somewhere between £50 - 150.00 I would guess.

If it's got the initials PB somewhere in the run off, it is the 'original' 70's counterfeit and it's very rare.  If it hasn't it's either a) a new one or b) an original

pete it has the pb in the run out plus g2771 I bought of a guy who run a venue in north wales back in the 70s.he lives in california  now

Well yes that's the rare 70's counterfeit, you know what, before these latest ones appeared I could have probably got you £250 for that

Any idea why people are/were prepared stupid money for this boot other than its rare on an original and a great record but so are many other booted records.

Got one upstairs in a box somewhere which I bought in the 70s I would assume it is this boot .

Yes, because it looks just like the original and people can 'pretend'.

With respect Natalie it looks nothing like yours - his is green, yours is blue, his is vinyl, yours is styrene

ok I'm going to sound very stupid when I say this but what is the difference? lol I went on completed listings on ebay and people am selling the same one as myn and saying they am 70s press x

I mentioned the differences above, but yours is the 1976 pressing, the green label one came out 6 months before and fooled a lot of people...

All these pieces on boots are giving me a headache, must pop out to superdrug for some pills unless someone can recommend any other chemists. Cheers
