HAVE DONE SOME DIGGING AND GOT A RESULT.

North Carolina group I think. Found the name Kai Haynes whilst digging, he's a bass player and vocalist from Charleston and recorded one record for the group during a five year stint from 1966.

Are you gonna post the soundfile? Great record.

Chalky, I think there's another release by them. Recollect me and Alex Jones finding another but it wasn't particularly NS sounding so we got rid of it over there, maybe to Lew. Not 100% sure but Im pretty certain it was them.

ROD

Hi Rod, the info I found while digging just related to Kai Haynes so could well be other releases. Don't know if Kai even sang lead with the group.

Nick Stevens put this on a tape for me many years ago , what a BRILLIANT sound

I played it at the last Burnley Allnighter. Didn't realise it was so well known.

Superb tune, & both sides of The Fantastics version on SS7 are top drawer soul music (I Love This Scene!!!):lol:

Think I will give it an outing at Easington on Sat biggrin.gif
