Herb Hardesty * Just a Little Bit of Everything

Gentlemen:

I love this above-mentioned instro that was originally released as a single on Federal 12444 (as well as the attributed-to James Brown LP Jump Around/Twist Around/Night Train). The single seems to turn up for sale twice a year for too much money...or at least more than I am willing to spend for my lo-fi jukebox purposes. Yes; I know that there is a current bootleg issue of this on the Hardesty label, but it's a different mix where the band doesn't shout out the song title throughout and the coolness factor isn't quite the same.

It has come to my attention that there exists a Dutch issue of this tune on the uniquely-named Golden Records label with a catalog number 45.502, and includes Twenty Thousand Leagues by The Champs on the flip. Is anyone familiar enough with this record to confirm if it's the exact same version as on the original Federal 12444? Google also turns up a photo of a King release of this record--allegedly King 5801--but the fact that there is zero other reference to this release on the internet combined with the fonts looking weird lead me to believe that it may be someone's own computer-generated label.

Shot in the dark, but I'm curious to know if anyone has info on this to share.

Two irresistible instrumentals from legendary N'awlins saxophonist Herbest Hardesty, the man who was a regular fixture in Dave Bartholomew's band through the 50s at Cosimo Mattassa's studio and has been Fats' bandleader for the past four or five decades! Here in a rare solo outing, Herb blows over two of his own compositions - jazzy, swinging, bluesy numbers with a minor key feel that's perfect for today's R&B floors. 'Just a Little Bit Of Everything' is actually an alternate take to that which was originally issued, recently found on the sessession tapes of Federal session tapes of Federal recordsImage 1

Hi Ricky--

I didn't know that this slightly-less-cool bootleg is a "recently found" version from session tapes, so I guess that means the aforementioned Golden Records issue from the 1970s is in fact the original version that I am looking for...at the price I love.
