Give us a clue as to what's up with Jerry ?

Please..........

Mick

I think he's just ordinary, his voice to me is just OK at best, loads of vocals out there that haven't had half the career he has??Know a guy who was a session artist in the 60t's & played with Jerry wasn't impressed by him at all.........I always say it's because he still owes him 30cents for a cup of coffee from 1968

Cheers

British only I think.

A Pete Smith mixcloud show, turned me onto this, lacks a bit of an edge, but I likes it myself.

Danny Williams ‎ I've Got To Find That Girl Again Columbia

Applogies if it's been posted before.

Yep the record produced by 'Lack of Afro', co-written by Nick Radford, a local lad with his fingers in a few pies, art, music, publishing, journalism. Sometimes does a DJ spot at a Soul & RnB event in Mono club in Falmouth called 'Soul-Cookin', think he's on the organisation side of that as well, along with 'The Mighty Sceptres' and 'Lack of Afro' a lot of local talent collaborating together.

I'm in Cornwall myself if you didn't know already :hatsoff2:

Well can't believe the demand on this one, which I bought from King Bee about 8 years ago for £30.

An excellent double sider , which also turned out to be a decent investment.

I confess to not having heard it until I played it in the shop. There was only one deck and I had to get in a line

of five people all waiting to play stuff on a Saturday afternoon, I nearly gave up and walked out without having a listen.

Miss those afternoon outing's with my younger brother Geese.

Anyway

Is anyone else getting annoying pop up videos on Soulsource?

Unfortuntaely they're interfering with the clips when they're playing.

Great tune this, unlike "love him in return".

Years ago I bought a copy of this from Records by Mail, for which they refunded me as it unfortunately has a his through 30 secs.

Kept the record though.

Love the pathos in it , which reflects the lyrics:

Earls Inc Just an illusion Zudan

Sorry for the delay in responding Mike , but been away for a few days.

The ad in question is a thumbnail video from what looks to be a logistics company called UXwework

the thumbnail always appears just above the ebay (horizontal) bids summary on this page.

it could be this company:https://www.wework.com/

see screen shot.

Thanks

Greetings all, as much as I love Darrell Banks I have to admit to preferring Doni Burdicks' version on the grounds of the brass being much more punchy, plus I don't have a Darrell Banks!

Best wishes all, will be listening in to Record club over the holidays! Bangin'!
