Pete S Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Hello and welcome to this years Christmas podcast, the idea was I’d grab whatever records I could find going back to 1955 and then play through the years until we reached, well, at least the 90’s, but my plans were foiled whenever after completing the recording, when I saved it to disc, the last hour didn’t come out! So it’s missed things like Madness, Inner City, Nitro Deluxe, House Of Pain, Blur, Prodigy and some jungle, plus my all time favourite record of any genre, I Saw The Light by Todd Rundgren. But the rest is pretty good (except for The Spirals’ Rockin’ Cow which is rubbish, not sure what I was thinking there) and I hope it’ll be an enjoyable 3 hours of background music while you prepare the turkey. There’s Rock n Roll, 60’s, Ska & Soul sections, Glam Rock, a bit of Punk and Power Pop…Great recording quality too, hoorah! All the best everyone…Pete JOHNNY ACE – PLEDGING MY LOVE ALAN FREED & HIS ROCK N ROLL BAND – RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW BILLY RILEY – RED HOT ELVIS PRESLEY – I’M LEFT, YOU’RE RIGHT, SHE’S GONE THE CHAS McDEVITT SKIFFLE GROUP – FREIGHT TRAIN THE PHANTOM – LOVE ME RICKY NELSON – LONESOME TOWN MARTY ROBBINS – EL PASO ELVIS PRESLEY – TRYIN’ TO GET TO YOU JIMMY McCRACKLIN – THE WALK THE SPIRALS – THE ROCKIN’ COW THE ROLLING STONES – OFF THE HOOK THE WHO – THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT THE SYNDICATS – CRAWDADDY SIMONE MARC BOLAN – THE WIZARD SYNDICATE OF SOUND – LITTLE GIRL BLUESOLOGY – COME BACK BABY MR.S MILLER – A LOVER’S CONCERTO THE MERSEYS – SORROW THE LEFT BANKE – PRETTY BALLERINA TOM & MICK – SOMEBODY’S TAKEN MARIA AWAY SHYSTER – TICK TOCK THE MICKEY FINN – GARDEN OF MY MIND THE BOX TOPS – THE LETTER THE ROLLING STONES – HONKY TONK WOMEN THUNDERCLAP NEWMAN – SOMETHING IN THE AIR PRINCE BUSTER ALL STARS – AL CAPONE ROLANDO AL & THE SOUL BROTHERS – PHOENIX CITY THE SKATALITES – GUNS OF NAVARONE ALTON ELLIS – ROCK STEADY JOHNNY NASH – HOLD ME TIGHT DANDY – REGGAE IN YOUR JEGGAE TONY TRIBE – RED RED WINE HARRY J ALL STARS – LIQUIDATOR DAVE & ANSEL COLLINS – DOUBLE BARREL PRINCE BUSTER – BIG FIVE RAMSEY LEWIS – WADE IN THE WATER THE SUPREMES – COME SEE ABOUT ME JAMO THOMAS – I SPY FOR THE FBI ROBERT PARKER – LETS’ GO BABY THE CONTOURS – JUST A LITTLE MISUNDERSTANDING MARVIN GAYE & TAMMI TERRELL – YOU AIN’T LIVIN’ UNTIL YOU’RE LOVIN’ ARCHIE BELL & THE DRELLS – TIGHTEN UP BOOKER T & THE MG’S – TIME IS TIGHT JERRY BUTLER – MOODY WOMAN THE DETROIT EMERALDS – FEEL THE NEED IN ME CANDI STATON – YOUNG HEARTS RUN FREE LINDA LEWIS – ROCK A DOODLE DOO T. Simon T Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) I'd kindly suggest you reload with the final hour as Todd Rundgren is one of the finest examples of music ever created and everyone should have the joy of listening to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N48-K9z-HA4 Edited December 22, 2015 by simon t Temptones 1
