Mark B Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Mick H is playing it now, hence the 4 figure tag I guess. Class record, IMO it did get played many years ago as well but did not take off not sure if wigan or the mecca. mark
Chalky Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 -->QUOTE(mark.b @ Sep 24 2006, 03:44 PM) link it did get played many years ago as well but did not take off not sure if wigan or the mecca. mark just thinking myself that it was an oldie from way back when. Personally think it sounds no different than many 60's pop records. Mamie Lee only slightly better.
Mick Holdsworth Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Mick H is playing it now, hence the 4 figure tag I guess. Class record, IMO I've recently bought (and now sold) this one ... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=250013223113 Even though the visual condition was nothing like the description (very badly scuffed and wornthe label on "slipping" was torn), it was still a bargain as it did play very well with only a couple of clicks. Soul Sam has it now. Cheers Mick https://northern-soul-records.com

Simsy Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Thanks for the reply`s chalky and tedsoul. cheers chalky for sound file. others can dicide now. Tobbi bowe played at the dome i believe You are right mate. Was on last Dome cd, one that KB dj'd at. There's a full clip in old sounds section (click my albums). I'm with you, TB the version. Think Mick was playing it early in first spot at 100 until recently.
