Going to sit on the fence on this one.

It's shite.

If that's a soul record then I'm a .........................................err, pirate.

Talk about sublime to the ridiculous! This was one of my mother's favourite songs in the sixties. She also loved Frank Ifield and went to see him in Peterborough where the support group was a beat-combo called the Beatles! It's is a bit Vivian Carol though, don't you think?

Ay up my mate

It probably is a good record to the folk who appreciate that kind of stuff - I like soul music and my post was based upon that. Not in the same league as Vivian Carol - a record which I do like. As for the Beatles - who were they? :wicked:

Hope you're well mate.

Very much a tune of its time - the mid-80s - had a soft spot for it back then.

Dx

PS It was a biggy for Tony Clayton.

Perhaps this is where this thread splits off to a northern soul "word association' thread?

The Beatles A-side, I reply Fred and the Turbines and you reply Nutbush City Limits?

It's a wedding reception, where everyone is saying everything is groovy when their tyres are flat.

Presume we are talking about The Lucky Charms here. Yeah, been around ages. I like it, but then I do like the blue-eyed/pop stuff.

Just bought this album and I have heard this track played out...

The scene has been in a desperate sate for long time because so of so many Handbaggers  don't know anything about  Rare soul.
