Valuations depend on which individuals you talk to regarding W/D , and , of course , a certain publication . The last Jerry Jackson I knew of on a W/D went for £ 130.00 .

I have recently seen " Don't Bring Me Down " - Rita DaCosta on a Mohawk W/D with a price tag of £ 750.00 ......

Would have thought about £350 to £400 for a Thelma Lindsey w/d but don't the issue look a lot better & about 1/2 the price as well.

Sure i saw a thread on here a while back about it.

Obviously PANDORA is the Rarest and commands a High price tag.

Out of Interest Which is rarer Mohawk DEMO -

I bought the Coloured first and then the White,

Obviously NOT priced at £750 - Just curious, which is the rarer.

Never trusted the white demo's as i've seen a sealed box of 100 at the time (wigan)

Hi

Mmm .... Interesting

I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this.

Mohawk_45-703b_DJ.jpgMohawk_45-703b_WDJ.jpg

I must admit, I thought that possibly, I had seen more White DEMO's than Coloured DEMO's over thr years.

Closer inspection of the Deadwax Information

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Coloured DEMO is a Styrene Monarch, with a Stamped Matrix & Delta Number

(A Side 75782 - B Side 75782-X)

There is also "SELECT SOUND" Stamped both sides

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The White DEMO is on Vinyl, the "NO! NO! NO!" side and has "SELECT SOUND" Stamped in.

The other Deadwax Marks are very Similar at first glance to the coloured, but NOT absolutely Identical when studied closely.

The "Don't Bring Me Down" Side doesn't have the "SELECT SOUND" Stamp and the Deadwax is different.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because of the Source of the record and the "SELECT SOUND" Stamp on the A' Side, I am happy that the White DEMO is genuine.

However, it just highlights the Minefield of collecting. It is strange to hear of the sealed box of 100? - It would be interesting to know if these were "SELECT SOUND" Stamped?

It leaves me to wonder if the White DEMO is a Later Issue or just a different pressing plant - The box of 100 does sound suspicious, or a very lucky find by someone.

Anyone know?
