Rick Scott Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Anyone else on here bought this, 'Love Is A Hurtin' Thing' (Luv N' Haight)Bought this as the original 12" is so elusive, arrived today (Sat) and on first play thought there was something wrong with my sound system or maybe ineeded to clear my ears, it is hard to describe how it sounds, it has beenedited down to a 7" version and to these ears sounds strange, I have playedthe original 12" on youtube and it sounds a so much a cleaner version, would like comments please from anyone else who HAS purchased one of these tosee if it is just me, Love the 12" track to bits by the way but............................
Guest Ivor Jones Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Hello Rick…..I havent purchased the 45 on Luv N Haight but,on playing a sound clip on a website selling the 45,it seems its just a straight reissue of the 45 which came out originally on Selector Sound. The 45 version is completely different to the 12" mix which is a full length version with long instrumental parts and dubbed on drumbeats. The 45 mix is pretty Lo-Fi compared with the 12" but I like them both for different reasons. "How Can You Say It" which is on the flip side of the original 45,[Though not the reissue], uses the same backing track too and is very good as well if you don't know it. Hope this info may be of some use to you Rick, All the best, Ivor
