For example the first ding in Eddie Parkers Love you baby makes it easy to 'name it in one' and another would be Bird Walking.

What could you name in one.

alfie davison - love is a serious business

harold melvin - prayin'

nancy wilson - this is the end

esther philips - just say goodbye

temptations - aiming at your heart

ty karim - lighten up baby

what've i done - linda jones

none of the above would fool many people in a 'name that tune after one note' competition at a soul night.

Chandlers in particular, that bit in the middle what can you do? Droop from one side to the other, have a sip of water? Does build up at the end of the break ready for an extended spin. Absolutely love this record though.

You sure you would know it from Mighty Lover on the first note?

frankie beverly - if that's what you wanted

king erison - zola

freddy chavez,ron holden,art freeman,bobby freeman,al delory,prince george,herbert hunter,

sam and kitty,kenny smith,etc. etc.

i think that's what drew us to oldies/stompers in our youth, instantly recognisable compelling dancers.

back in the 70s how about....

brass construction - ha cha cha function! 1,2, ha cha cha 2,2, ha cha cha etc. choon

earth wind and fire - biyo, where's me espadrills i wanna boogie thumbsup.gif

Well, maybe the second

The vocal on Mighty Lover starts almost immediately. On Cool Off there's clapping until you get the sound of the bottle opening.
